What We Do

The Philosophy Documentation Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable access to the widest possible range of philosophical materials. Established in 1966, the PDC has earned a reputation for excellence with the publication of essential scholarly resources in applied ethics, philosophy, religious studies, classics, and related disciplines. We provide a full range of print and electronic publishing services, including digital workflow management, secure hosting, and support for a range of both institutional and individual subscription options.

New for Summer 2010

We are pleased to announce the launch of online access to all issues of Études Phénoménologiques and The New Yearbook for Phenomenology and Phenomenological Philosophy. Subscriptions and renewals can be managed online, or submitted by mail, phone, fax, or e-mail as follows:

Also, PDC is now managing memberships and conference registrations for the Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy. Members may renew their membership or register for the annual conference online, by phone, or by mail, using all major credit cards or personal check in US dollars. Expanding Content

We are expanding our electronic collection with publications from Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Nepal, Poland, Romania, and Spain, in addition to many titles from Canada and the United Sates. We now offer over 100 publications online, with more than 85,000 articles, reviews, and other items in applied ethics, philosophy, and religious studies.
