Over 40 Years of Professional Service
The Philosophy Documentation Center has been serving the philosophical community on a
non-profit basis since 1966, earning a reputation for excellence with the publication of essential
reference materials, scholarly journals, conference proceedings, and instructional software. We also
provide subscription fulfillment services for journal publishers, electronic conversion services for
print journals, membership services for professional organizations, typesetting and graphic design services,
exhibits at academic conferences, and mailing and marketing services. In addition to supporting all
levels of teaching and academic research in philosophy, we try to expand the reach of philosophy outside
the classroom with the distribution of philosophy magazines, videos and audio books, and the sponsorship
of the Award for Excellence and Innovation in Philosophy Programs. Our work
