NOTES TO CONTRIBUTORS

The editors welcome the submission of manuscripts in English, German, and French that take up the serious task of interpreting and thinking through Heidegger's work. The editors especially welcome submission devoted to an interpretive exploration of the new texts published in the Gesamtausgabe. A list of the volumes of the Gesamtausgabe that have already been published (including the status of English, French, Italian, and Spanish translations) appears at the back of each issue of Heidegger Studies.

In the interest of clarity and conciseness the editors request that all submissions make reference to the volumes of the Gesamtausgabe by using the following format:

a) The first reference to a particular volume of the the Gesamtausgabe will include the title of the volume and the volume numbers, as well as the title of the volume in translation, if available. Such references will look like this:

    1 Grundbegriffe (GA 51), p.44.
2 Die Grundprobleme der Phänomenologie (GA 24), p.213; tr. The Basic Problems of Phenomenology, p.149.
3 Hegels Phänomenologie des Geistes (GA 32), p.132; tr. La "Phénoménologie de l'Esprit " de Hegel, p.150.

b) All further references to the same volume will use the abbreviation "GA" and the volume number. Such references will look like this:

    4 GA 51, p.44.
    5 GA 24, p.213; tr., p.149.
    6 GA 32, p.132; tr., p.150.
