Philosophy Against Empire

This volume contains a selection of papers presented at the Radical Philosophy Association's biennial conference in 2004 at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Scholars and activists from Canada, China, Russia, Mexico, and Europe participated in this conference, along with philosophers and activists from the United States. The theme of the conference, “Philosophy Against Empire,” was selected to encourage discussion and analysis of the imperial designs of the US government. Contributors include Ann Ferguson, Carol C. Gould, William McBride, Eduardo Mendieta, Jo-Ann Pilardi, and David Schweickart.
