RIGHTS & PERMISSIONS

Philosophica is a journal of the Department of Philosophy and the Centre of Philosophy of the University of Lisbon. Beginning 2022 it will be published by the Philosophy Documentation Center.

The journal has adopted a Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 open access publishing license. Anyone may share, copy, and redistribute material in the journal in any medium or format under the following terms:

  • Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

  • NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.

  • NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.

Authors are free to reuse their own articles in all other publications they write or edit - no permission is required.

Open Access Archiving Policy

Philosophica is becoming an open access publication. Authors may post the published version of their articles to open access web sites and document depositories whose terms of use are consistent with the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 publishing license.


Electronic Preservation

Long-term preservation of Philosophica in electronic format will be assured through PORTICO and the CLOCKSS archive.
